IEC introduces new technology that saves fuel in the biomass power plants.

Dr. Bhusana Premanode, President of the international Engineering Public Company Limited (IEC), said that in the past three years, the price of raw materials, fuel for the production of feedstock for biomass has gone up, for instance, chaff from 400 baht per ton to 1,700 baht per ton, wood up from 500 baht per ton to 1,200 baht per ton, palm from 50 baht per ton to 750 baht per ton, resulting many biomass power plants have suffered from expensive materials problem. Finally they result in debt and unable to pay debts to the bank lenders.

Dr. Bhusana Premanode was conducted research in collaboration with Imperial College London, United Kingdom and Thermal Engineering, King Monkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, for more than six months. From the research that can lead to contamination from waste plastic, with humidity below 40 percent, instead of chopping wood and palm husk as well resulting to reduce fuel costs by 35 percent.

The biomass power plant using plastic contaminants, such a system would be necessary to eliminate the carcinogen dioxin. The amendment is based on several key components of the plant before proceeding to eliminate plastic contamination from the community.

With new technology that reduces the cost and environmentally friendly, If the biomass power plant of any interest. You can get more details on Pranmek Patamatitrapee, assistant to IEC president, contact 088-548-8458.
