Dr. Bhusana Premanode, President of the international Engineering Public Company Limited (IEC), apprised the progress of waste plastic recycling plant in Rayong.
The waste plastic recycling pant locate in Nikom Pattana district, Rayong province. The project represents an investment of 663 million baht, which is now manufacturing recycled PE plastic during the installation phase one of six production lines. By when they are fully equipped, the plant will produce recycled PE plastic by approximately 100 tons per day, which the company expects to complete installation of machinery and launched commercially by early December 2015.
In Q2/2016, the installation of 16 production lines will be installed and it can produce up to 300 tons of recycled plastic per day.
Now, the PE product capture many attention from both domestic and overseas. The companies in Thailand have the demand for recycled PE plastic approximately 1,150 tons per month, including CMT polymers by demand as high as 400-500 tons per month
The international companies that are interested, the demand for the product together about 2,500 tons per month, including the Assarama Company in Malaysia, which IEC has made the purchase agreement. This company said that it has demand for recycled PE plastic up to 2,000 tons per month.
IEC is confident that our recycled PE plastic will replace the demand of the market both within and outside the country in the future.
